School Background

Take Five Dance Academy is a privately owned school that will be celebrating
its 20th Anniversary in 2011.

We are the southwest valley’s largest dance school with over 500 students attending weekly classes. We cater mainly to children. About 95% of our students are between 3 and 17 years old. We welcome adult students with our Zumba classes but our suburban market area has resulted in a student base of mainly children.

We strive to provide a fun but educational environment with a well organized administration and first rate facility.

As a dance teacher you have several different studios you can choose to teach at around the southwest valley. If you have freedom to express your artistic style through your teaching, the main difference will be how the organization of the studio affects your satisfaction and ability to focus on your teaching.

Here are reasons why dance teachers choose to teach at our school:

• Small Class Sizes
  We limit class sizes to make our classes easier to control and monitor. This allows teachers to give more personalized attention to their students. Our classes for ages 3-4 are limited to a maximum of 11 students per class. Our classes for ages 5-6 are limited to a maximum of 14 students per class. Our average class size for ages 7 and up is 15.

• Full Time Administrative Support
  In many studios there is no receptionist on duty. This means that the teachers are faced with administration details when they should be concentrating on teaching. Our studio has knowledgeable, helpful office staff on hand during regular class times to give immediate assistance.

• Our Facility
  Our school occupies a 7100 sq. ft, air conditioned facility, which separates the 4 dance rooms from the office, waiting area and restrooms. We offer observation windows and doors so parents can view a lesson without disrupting it. Our staff enjoys a private office/lounge with their own bathroom for privacy.

• Extras Are Taken Care Of
  We try to take care of all of the extra details throughout the year. Teachers are not required to collect fees or create handouts. We also take care of the organization of the end of the year production. We have everything well organized so our teachers are free to concentrate on teaching, choreographing and nothing else.
